The Journey Behind The Diamond Seed

Welcome to the first blog post on my website! I’m thrilled to share with you the story behind The Diamond Seed, the debut novel in my sci-fi dystopian trilogy.

The journey to creating The Diamond Seed began in 2018 when I first wrote it as a screenplay. This initial script was my exploration into a dystopian world where humanity lives in protective domes after a devastating biochemical event. The idea of encapsulating a future world where survival takes precedence over history fascinated me, and it soon became clear that this concept had the potential for a much larger narrative.

Transitioning from screenplay to novel presented both challenges and opportunities. Adapting the screenplay format to a novel allowed me to delve deeper into world-building and character development, areas that a screenplay often only skims. I had the chance to expand on the intricate details of the domes and the complex dynamics of the Seed, enriching the story in ways I hadn’t initially imagined.

One of the most exciting aspects of this process was reimagining the world I had originally created for the screen. This transition gave me the freedom to explore the setting and characters in greater depth, making the world of The Diamond Seed more immersive and engaging.

As I continue to work on the subsequent books in the trilogy, I’m excited to further develop the world of The Diamond Seed and share more of this journey with you.
